Thanks to funding from the Local Workforce Action Board and Cheshire and Mersey Transforming Care Partnership, CWP in partnership with parent-carers, is developing a suite of training packages for family members, other unpaid carers, support workers and personal assistants. The first modules will go live later in March.

Learning topics include:

  • Family and carers as partners
  • Healthcare for people with learning disabilities
  • STOMP for carers
  • Communication
  • Children and young people
  • Preparing for adulthood
  • Law, ethics and safeguarding

Family members and unpaid carers will be able to access the training free of charge. A small charge will be made for paid staff, however this includes certification.
